Niels Juel Statue l (Niels Juel-statuen) stands at the intersection of Holmens Canal in Copenhagen, honoring the Danish admiral Niels Juel, renowned for his victories in the Scandinavian naval wars.
The statue was created by sculptor Theobald Stein and unveiled in 1881. It depicts Juel standing with a raised command baton, signalling the start of a battle. The monument is centrally located in the city’s historic naval district and serves as a prominent feature of Copenhagen’s maritime heritage. The statue is cast in bronze and rests on a marble plinth with relief details that highlight his naval achievements.
