A vibrant city church in Copenhagen

The Copenhagen Church, based in the historic Bethesda building on Rømersgade 17 in central Copenhagen, is an evangelical-Lutheran free church known for its welcoming atmosphere, strong community, and practical approach to faith.

Founded in 2001 and moved to its current location in 2014, the church hosts weekly Sunday services at 11AM with preaching, worship, communion, and a children’s church. Beyond Sundays, The Copenhagen Church offers small groups, social gatherings, and community events for all ages. The church is rooted in the belief that faith should be accessible and lived out in everyday life, with a vision to make God known among those we know. With its prime location near Nørreport and Israels Plads, the church is a spiritual home for city dwellers seeking meaningful fellowship and authentic Christianity.

The Copenhagen Church has only one facade facing the street, so it can only be viewed from a single angle. The best view of the church is therefore directly in front of the entrance.
