Inderhavnsbroen

Modern pedestrian and cycle bridge

Inderhavnsbroen (The Inner Harbor Bridge) is a modern and iconic pedestrian and cycle bridge connecting Nyhavn with Christianshavn across Copenhagen’s Inner Harbor.

The bridge opened in 2016 and has quickly become an essential part of the city’s daily flow, with thousands of cyclists and pedestrians crossing the harbor each day. The distinctive bridge features a light, floating expression with colourful glass railings and wide resting areas where people can pause to enjoy views of the Opera House, Holmen, and the historic harbour surroundings. Its architecture is modern and minimalist, while the bridge’s dynamic shape creates a beautiful link between the two neighbourhoods. Inderhavnsbroen serves both as a practical connection and as a popular viewpoint where visitors can experience one of the most vibrant parts of Copenhagen’s waterfront.
