The Kong Frederik IX Statue (Kong Frederik IX-statuen) is a bronze sculpture of former King Frederik IX, located at Langelinie in Copenhagen. The sculpture was created by sculptor Knud Nellemose and unveiled in 1982, ten years after the king’s death.
It depicts Frederik IX standing in a royal pose, dressed in uniform with a friendly, open expression, symbolising his popular relationship with the Danish people. The monument highlights his significance for Denmark in the post-World War II period, including the modernisation of the monarchy and his connection to the public.

The statue is best viewed from the square directly in front of it, as a large hedge blocks the view of the back. From the right side of the statue, visitors can also capture a striking profile of the king with St. Alban’s Church and the Churchill Park in the background.
