The equestrian statue of Christian IX (Rytterstatuen af Christian IX) stands at Christiansborg Riding Ground on Slotsholmen in Copenhagen. It was created by sculptor Anne Marie Carl‑Nielsen and unveiled in 1927, as one of the first major monuments made by a female artist in Denmark.
The statue depicts King Christian IX on horseback and is cast in bronze, featuring a simple yet striking monumental presence.
