Lurblæserne
High-mounted statue by the City Hall Square
Lurblæserne (The Lur Blowers) is a bronze sculpture group located at City Hall Square in Copenhagen.
It depicts two lur blowers positioned atop a column approximately 20 metres high, playing the traditional instrument historically used for signalling and music in the Nordic countries. The sculpture was created by Siegfried Wagner between 1911 and 1914. The decorative group highlights Danish cultural history and folklore and serves as an artistic element that combines symbolism and ornamentation. Lurblæserne is a popular photographic subject among visitors to City Hall Square.

Due to its great height and the many competing sights and impressions around City Hall Square, Lurblæserne is often overlooked. However, an especially good view can be found from the eastern corner of the square. It is also possible to stand close to the column and look up at the sculptures at the top of the tall pillar.
