Egmont Uret
Impressive clock installation in Copenhagen
Egmont Uret (The Egmont Clock) is an urban artwork and clock installation suspended above Vognmagergade by Gutenberghus in Copenhagen.
Apart from Rådhusuret (the City Hall Clock), it is one of the city’s most well-known and eye-catching clocks. The clock acts as a modern marker in the rhythm of the city, linking the busy pedestrian street with the surrounding media and office buildings. The clock itself is both a functional and visual element, displaying the time for passers-by while also serving as an artistic feature in the streetscape.
Integrated into a glass skybridge between the buildings, Egmont Uret has become a locally recognized landmark and a distinctive point of orientation in this area of Copenhagen.

The clock and the elegant glass bridge are best experienced in sunlight, when the rays create a beautiful glow through the many glass panels and the clock’s golden frame and hands light up. Egmont Uret should be viewed from both sides of the glass bridge.
